This module is for all staff and explains what a disability is in line with the Equality Act 2010, the barriers faced by disabled people in society, reasonable adjustments for disabled employees.


Impact Assessments

This module is for anyone who is required to complete an Impact assessment as part of the creation or revision of policies, strategies, initiatives etc and explains the purpose of an Impact assessment, the reasons why they are so important, and gives a step by step guide on how to complete each section of the Impact Assessment form.


LGBT People and Public Services

LGBT people often face discrimination in society and when accessing public services. This module highlights the difficulties faced and how we can help LGBT people overcome these.


Public Sector Equality Duty

The Equality Act 2010 placed a duty on all public sector organisations to adhere to certain principles of equality. This duty extends to everything we do and in this module you can learn about the Public Sector Equality Duty and how the principles of this should be embedded into everything we do.


Religion and Belief Awareness

Provides some background information on customs and beliefs in relation to the main non-christian religions in North Lanarkshire. This module gives invaluable information on acceptable behaviour for those visiting the homes of Service Users from these faiths.
