Course content overview

The course covers the current law in Scotland in relation to sexually active children, the age of consent and how the law relates to young people engaging in “consensual sexual activity”, the legal consequences of underage sexual activity and “sexting”.

With developments in social media and the almost universal availability of mobile phones for young people it is important to be informed of the legal realities of young people sending and receiving images of a sexual nature and this course will provide you with information that will allow you to help young people make informed choices.
